Langford Middle School Phase 2 Augusta, GA

This project includes the demolition of the remainder of the Langford Middle School and construction of a new, approximately 150,000 sqft, 2-story school building that will tie in to the Phase 1 project as well as an existing 2-story classroom building on site. This phase of the project includes all new utilities and site work for the entire school.

This phase of construction includes all site work, including a baseball field, parking lots, and bus pick up lane with covered walkway. The new school building will include classrooms, restrooms, science labs, offices, media center, gymnasium, auditorium, locker rooms, and an exterior auditorium space. The building is a 2-story slab on grade, block wall (including shot blasted block on interior and exterior), brick veneered structure with cold form metal truss, bar joist, structural steel roofing support, and acoustic metal decking. The roof is double lock standing seam metal roof with low slope TPO over the gym and auditorium. Interior finishes are standard middle school finishes with painted block, ACT and drywall ceilings, carpet, Texas Granite tile, terrazzo, ceramic tile, and epoxy flooring.
