DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,117-square-foot retail development; and for site work for a retail development. The New Sanford Agricultural Marketplace will be located at 157 Charlotte Avenue, Sanford, NC. The building will feature an 8,305 SF open-air covered area that will be used as a community farmers market and small music event space. A 4,117 SF conditioned space includes a staff office; commercial kitchen with associated loading, dish, and storage areas; a demonstration kitchen; a flexible conference room; and associated support spaces. The project is envisioned as a new regional hub that initiates the revitalization of Sanford's eastern downtown while providing increased food access for the Sanford community.
