National Custom is issuing this Request for Proposal for an 8 – Bay Double Sided Prototype Mavis Tire & Brakes in Tarboro, NC.

This is a Ground Up New build of a Tires & Brakes Service Station. Full site development on a 0.88 ac site earthwork and utilities.  Construction of a 6,979-sf building CMU and Structural steel with a PVC roof system.  Plumbing, oil and air lines. Electrical quotes include gear and lighting package.

Ownership will supply the following:   Overhead doors (supply & install)

                                                                                                RTU’s and curbs (supply only)

                                                                                                Fire Alarm (contracted by Mavis)

                                                                                                Monument (contracted by Mavis)

Please open and read all the documents as they pertain to the project.  Schedules, Design Bulletins, equipment, and specifications.

The SCHEDULE IS OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO THE OWNER.   I need to have a schedule of LEAD TIMES and INSTALL TIMES for your trade items.

Bid Due:  Thursday, February 20th, 12:00 pm EST.

Bid prices must be guaranteed for 60 days after submittal. 

RFI Due by: Tuesday, February 18th by 12 pm.

Proposed Start Date: May 5th, 2025 (tentative)

Project Schedule: 180 days

National Custom is submitting a Turnkey Proposal for the site Work, Utilities, Construction of the Building and all the items associated with the project as per the plans and specs. 

No lump sum bids will be accepted.  Please indicate materials and labor breakdown, use attached Bid Form on how we need to have pricing breakdown.  Check and make sure any owner required vendors are being used in your pricing.  List any equipment that is being supplied and exclusions.  Please notify us of any long lead items that will need to be addressed at the time of contracting. 

Your proposal will be attached to the awarded sub to serve as the scope of work for that contract.  Items not explicitly excluded are assumed to be in your contract.  All subs will be responsible for cleaning up their debris and place in GC provided dumpsters.  Awarded subs will be expected to supply a schedule for their trade scope. 

A complete and thorough review of the plans and all supporting documents is mandatory for the pricing of these projects.  Also note any RED LINE changes or additions to the plans.
