Clarification regarding the scope for Site Contractors and Track Surface Contractors:

Site Contractor will be responsible for base/paving and concrete.

Surfacing Contractor will be responsible for track surface and striping.

Message:

After more discussion and consideration, the approach for Site Contractors and Track Surface Contractors has changed.

Site Contractors will be responsible up to and including the installation of the base under the asphalt. Site Contractors should also include the 42" wide perimeter safety zone concrete and turndown/header curb on the outside of the track. Site contractor to include storm drainage system inside the track area (precast structures and HDPE) with exception of tie-in of the trench drain system to the precast structures.

Track Surface Contractor will be responsible for asphalt and interior header curb/trench drainage system. Track Surface Contractor is also responsible for tying his trench drain system into the precast structures. Track Surface Contractor should also include concrete for long jump ramp/pit, discus, shotput and pole vault areas.
