The total site area is 5.15 acres with approximately 4.87 acres of the total being developed for the CarMax site.
Site development includes demolition ( Trees, existing gravel, curbs, and concrete drive aprons as described on drawings), import of structural fill, storm sewer piping, water piping, sanitary sewer, clearing and grubbing, grading, moisture conditioning of existing soils, over-excavation at building pads, site concrete, ornamental fencing, masonry site wall, guard rail, chain link fence, concrete and asphalt paving, erosion control, security gates, site utilities, landscaping and irrigation, a 199 spaces sales lot, a 65 space customer/employee lot, and a .62 acre WIP (work in progress) lot.
The building foundations shall be shallow foundations. Foundation bearing location below finish grade shall be as stated in bid documents. the design of foundations can be found in the Geotechnical report and Structural drawings. The project is constructed of structural steel, masonry, EIFS, TPO Roofing, Standing Seam metal roofing, ACM panels, and Glass / Glazing.
CarMax will furnish the joist and metal deck package (from Vulcraft), Structural Steel ( Hill Country),roof-top units (from Lennox) and RTU Roof Curbs ( to be erected in the field), and all interior and exterior lighting fixtures (from LSI), overhead doors, hollow metal door frames and door, wood doors, hardware and miscellaneous interior finish materials for installation by the Contractor.
